New Gen II Busa not revving freely above 8000rpm

Just bought a new Busa and still running in the bike. Ive done 320km's on the bike so far and took the revs up to app 8000 rpm(3rd gear) this morning and the engine felt like it lost some power,like surging.
I do not use the drive mode and this was the 1st time I took the revs to 8000rpm.
After this happened I switched the drive mode to A and the bike seemed to rev freely after this.
Any ideas what could have caused this hesitation?

What drive mode was the bike in to start with?

Mode A is the least restricted mode. The other modes are restricted.

I just started the bike without selecting any modes, I assume this is the default setting.
I only switched to A when this happened and it seemed to help. The bike seems fine up to app 7000rpm's and most of my driving was done on the highway.The first time I took the bike 7500-8000 was this morning on my home. I immediately noticed it but went home and later the afternoon I took the bike out for a ride again. Same thing happened in default mode and then I switched to mode A. The bike immediately felt different above 8000rpm.

With 500 km's on the clock I took the bike to 10500rpm in 1, 2 , 3 and 4th gear without hesitation on 3 occasions. Don't know what the problem was but no sign of it today.

Some bikes BMW 1000 RR are restricted until first check up, but I've never heard of that on the Bus

800km's on the clock now and never experienced the problem again.Just happened the first two occasions i took the revs above 8000rpm's.

possibly sticking or gummed secondary injectors, from factory fuel from test run.

What kind of gas are you using, not sure if it matters but i only use premium, and is the gas old? Maybe it's been sitting and has some water in it.

I bumped this post as I just bought a bike that sat for maybe two years. The guy said he would start the bike once a month and let it idle. We flushed out the old gas completely, it smelled old. Put fresh 87 octane in it. The bike rides great with average daily riding. But if I do a roll on in any gear, the bike falls on its face around 6k + Rpm sometimes a little higher rpms but either way you cannot go wide open throttle and it will not reach high rpms. Help me figure this out gentlemen. It's an 08 with 7k miles with slip ons only and a box mod from what the original owner says.

No sir, no alarm. Bike is all stock just with yosh cans.

Well it is in the wrist. It is a very common newbie problem. If you took it to 10500 in 1-4th. without hesitaion. You did good now hit it hard and carry the wheel thru all that.
