Make sure the clutch is operating properly before condemning the transmission. One thing that’s common on the Hayabusa and would cause this problem would be a broken sprocket cover. When broken it won’t allow full release of the clutch. Does the clutch feel normal?

Let the clutch lever out enough to partially engage the clutch while applying pressure to the shifter, it should go in gear then
