I've joined this site because you seem to be the best!
I have a 2000 Blackbird and now want to change to a Busa:)
I am able to get my hands on a 2001 Busa in blue and silver with only 15k on the clock for £1500. The only thing is its been off the road for 5 years due to the previous owner passing away. Thankfully it's been under cover in a garage however the brakes are seized on and although it turns over it won't start (fuel sat in the tank for 5 years and rust starting to appear inside the tank).
I am pretty handy with the spanners ( rebuilt my Blackbird after a similar history).
What are your thoughts on the situation of the bike standing for that length of time?
What will need replacing?
What is the fuel system (pump and filter) like, can it be stripped down etc?
Any other tips on starting out as a Busa Newbee would be very welcome please:)
