I have purchased a 2000 Busa which had been standing for 5 years. The tank inside is rusty, the filter blocked and the sender unit corroded to hell:(
The fuel pump separate from the tank is also fried (no priming noise when ignition is on) fuel pump relay is OK.
Can anyone tell me if I can replace the tank with the newer model (pump inside the tank) or do I have to keep with my year specific tank and pump.
The reason why I'm asking is because eBay has loads of tanks and inside tank pumps and not very many separate pumps and older model tanks.
The larger, separate outside pumps are loads of money:(
