100 MPH Club!!!
« on: October 26, 2012, 12:43:55 PM »
So it seems I am now a member of the NEDRA 100 MPH Club----- :hys:
Funny I know. Went over 100 MPH in the 1/8th mile while I was piloting the Mission Motors electric bike at the drags here in Sonoma. Ran a 10.49 at 124 on it. Was odd getting used to no clutch lever and no shift lever. Can I get another hat??

Cool. Now convince them to let you take it out on the salt....what better way to test the integrity of the electrical connections?
Any day on a motorcycle like this that ends just needing parts and labor is a good day.

I predict that within the next 10 years our bikes will not be the big kids in the block. I believe it will take about one more generation of battery advance to do it. The motors are already there.

Way to go Jim - you on that bike versus Dice on his would be a good race!  Can you post what your 60' time was?

Rereading my last reply I realized it was a little cryptic... sorry.  "Dice" (Jeff Dissinger) just ran a 10.8 @ 150 mph on his homemade converted street bike.  The e-bike crowd (including me) were all pretty excited.  It's Series DC powered with a +10" arm.

Not bad at all - Dice's was in the 2.0 range and his 1/8 mile speed was 109-something  Alan Cathcart just reviewed the Mission R and liked it a lot.  Thanks for posting.

Electric vehicles are becoming cooler by the minute...and faster. A guy rode past me the other day on a Ninja 250. Turns out, it was converted to electricity. He rides it all the time. It has a different rear hub and lots of other things I like to learn more about. Fascinating stuff! Congratulations on your bike!
