Yup.  It ate up my speed sensor which surprisingly still works.

Bolt is torqued correctly and I do have the HD output shaft.

You have two damaged parts there brother. Look closely at the nut on the output shaft. It is cracked and missing a section that probably put the hurt on the pick up coil.

When I installed my hd shaft and aftermarket billet cover had to space the sensor out some with a few 10/32 washers

I had the same issue a few years ago.
Perhaps it was only a little stone etc.... picked up from the chain who caused that damage.
Ive installed a new sensor and never had that problem again  :bike:

PS:
The idea from BusaBD with the washers sound good  :tu:
So the gap is a little bit bigger and small pieces of dirt can pass...

the reluctor doesn't sit down in the output shaft like it does the stock one thus putting it to close to the sensor. if you have a bench grinder you can grind down the outside diameter of the shoulder that goes into the shaft it will work fine.

I'm going to try that also.

I had to grand my speed rotor down before it would fit. Grind it flush.

Ok, 07 rotor should fit Robinson HD-shaft, both are 13mm(.51"). But if you have older rotor, between 99-03, or even later, it is 14mm(.55") and it won`t fit inside HD-shaft, the bolt tightens it but it stays about 5mm out. Gen2 is also wrong size, 16mm(.63").
