Congrats to Ryan & Karl, 228.9 all motor, a new standing-mile record. Still on the limiter! A tick faster than the nitrous record even! WTFG  :thumb:

A mere congratulations just doesn't seem adequate!!!!!

Way to go you two, well done for sure. I knew you'd take the record Ryan but seeing a 230+ would be icing on the cake. I'm guessing you might be doing just that while I'm sitting here typing away. Karl was hoping yesterday that the one tooth off would put you where you needed to be, I bet another one off with good conditions will have you close to.....dare I say it....235!!!!!

All motor in a mile un-%$#&*-believable on the limiter.  :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :tu:

What a team.

Must have been the wheels. LOL .  WTG gang, looking at the pic I see the real secret, youth and enthusiasm combined with old age and treachery. Black Beauty is #1 with 230+ sure to come. Enjoy, you earned it.  :tu:  :tu:   LSL

Thanks everyone for all the kind words. We had a great weekend at the mile. I need to thank a lot of people. My dad(who is still driving the truck and trailer home because I couldn't get the time of work to drive with him), Karl(AKA crew chief Karl), and Jen for everything they did for me this weekend. They were both instrumental in all of this. I also can't forget Johnny Cheese, Steve Knecum, Bill Warner, and Shane Stubbs. I called all of those guys from the track and they all took time out of their Sunday to help me. John G. for flashing 2 ECU's for me. I'm lucky to have such great friends. Thanks again guys.

207 in the half and 228.9 in the mile(on the limiter way before the traps). Great speeds for sure, but now I know it has 230+ in the mile in it. The data shows it!

Larry, it has to be the wheels!! The guy I got them from is pretty great too. He's helped me ever since day one. I wouldn't be where I without your help.

I would also like to say congrats to everyone else that ran well at the mile this weekend. I know Rebecca, Valerie, and Rod all hit 200+ MPH. That's awesome. Anyone that I missed I'm sorry it's hard to keep track of everyone while I'm racing too.

Ryan O 227.3 on the limiter !!!! NA!
Limiter!!  Shit.

John,
it was on the limiter associated with the clutch switch, NOT the limiter set while flashing.
After the Oct 2012 Texas Mile, Team Ostergard/TFA did some wiring changes to fine tune the set up and it looks like we didn't get all the bugs ironed out.

If you have an issue with the clutch switch, it goes into a mode which has a 10.800+/- limiter.
(thanks to Johnny Cheese!!!)

That means:
1.  Ryan never saw the shift light (we depend on it to get every last rpm out of the motor)
2.  We didn't get the use of rpm range 10.8-11.5 where motor make it's mojo power.
3.  Ryan was on the 10.8 limiter for 4 sec before the traps!!!!!!!!!!

We chased that gremlin all weekend, never fixed it.
Ryan rode the balls off the bike to get the great speed he got.

Last pass he made on Sun afternoon:
207.0 at the  half
228.9 at the mile.

Imagine team Ostergard all pissed off/bummed after running ONLY 228.9mph :hys:

Bottom line is that we achieved the objectives we had for the meet:
1. beat entropy's NA Texas Mile track record = 224.6
2. beat Zack Millholland's official world record for NA bike = 227.3

Congrats to Ryan for focused aggressive, consistant, successful riding = world record!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  :thumb:
