They fit the stock gen 1 rotors? anything else needed to be done or was it just a swap out ,  just get a set of gen 2 calipers and better brakes?

Definitely better than stock. Gen 2 calipers (or GSXR1000 2008 calipers, same thing)

They bolt straight on. I think with some 108mm Brembo calipers you may need spacers to the radial adaptors, but they are just little washers really, so not a big adjustment.

I bought 108mm radial caliper adaptors from here:

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=321121046493#ht_1214wt_988

They look like this:

Next step is to buy the matching Brembos:

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/380527285171?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649#ht_6380wt_1014

Is this a street bike only or do u race it to?
Does the caliper of a 04 gixx bolt right on this bracket?

It's my street bike.

Not sure about the 04 Gixxer. I'm pretty sure 07, 08, 09 is about the same. For the rest you'd have to ask a gixxer forum or go to local wreckers and have a look.

If you want better brakes but still want the original front then this is the best you can buy ( for a price ) :
http://www.ebay.com/itm/99-07-Suzuki-GSX1300R-Hayabusa-Shindy-Nissin-Six-Piston-Brake-Caliper-RIGHT-/230979910699?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item35c779bc2b&vxp=mtr

But why not go for a complete GEN II front fork ? :
I dont know what I am talking about but I do know that I am right :)

I was looking into a gen 2 forks but then you need the wheels rotors, calipers and fender dont you ? then the price and work load becomes more then a few hours

I've got gen 2 forks on my gen 1, big difference!
Just buy a complete front end from the bay or breakers etc. fairly straight forward swap, then you can sell your gen 1 front end to help with the costs! good luck.

So I went this way , Got a Gen2 master off a 2011 for $40 , then went with the Brembo's from Fred at YOYODYNE and adapters , them Habor frieght sells a Vac Bleeder that you hook up to air line and Wow all done and real nice brakes  PS the Air Vac Bleeder is the bomb VS anything else I tried to use

Has anyone tried just swapping over a Gen 2 master on an all stock Gen 1 brake setup? Results?

How much better did the bike stop with this setup? Which master are you using?

I used the gen 2 master and the Brembo calipers and the bike stops way better then before, I will say that the pads on the brembo calipers are bigger then the stock pads and bite a 1/4 inch or so closer to the center so more of the rotor is used

Much better! I'm using a rebuilt stock master (off a 99 model!)

Does anyone know if the 108mm adapters will work with the newer Gen2 Brembo setup?

I am pretty sure they will. I haven't tried then myself, but Suzuki only updated the calipers, so I don't see why they'd change the spacing, etc

yes.   108 is the norm.
