No good platitudes come to mind. I was shocked and saddened like everyone else.
Get to work on the golden mile up above Bill. Hopefully I'll race with you there one day.

i just heard the news. Words cannot express the sadness of the tragedy. The only positive thing i can say is that he died doing what he loved to do. God bless You and Your Family Bill....

I did not know him as many of you have, however whenever I saw him he was always smiling and personable with everyone. My prayers go out to all friends and family.

I don't even know what to say, it's hard for me to even believe it has happened. He was such an amazing person and friend.
You will be forever missed, Godspeed Bill!

WOW, .
My deepest sympathy, to all Bill's friends and family. I met the man three times at my trips to Maxton. He was always nice and more than willing to help or talk about what he was up to. I remember being drawn to the vmax in 2006 and to the shopping cart/ mobile pit cart and bike stand the next time I saw him.
Being on vacation with family this weekend I saw the story on the ticker on Fox news as I was flipping this morning.

Great pic Tom...
I'll never forget working on that, those moments and all the "what is he doing and how is he doing it" conversations....
Inspirational to say the least. I am glad to have been part of it, and you are solely responsible for the moments and conversations I had with Bill. THANK YOU
REST IN PEACE Mr. Warner

I always got a kick out of Bill quoting Mike Tyson, "Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth!"
Bill could out plan anybody, got all the right people on board and then executed it. He was not a conventional thinker.
