Picked this thing up last February, from a guy down in Tennessee. Got it for a good deal, but had to ride it with these flames on it for the majority of the season:
I moved to Bowling Green, Ky to go to WKU, as per my mom moving here when I was 19 in 2009, On May 10th this year, she passed away. I had originally planned on selling this turd, but in the wake of my Mom passing it turned into more of a therapy endeavor. So I tore it apart and started to replace, remove, and rebuild everything that was done prior to my purchasing the bike.
After a couple hours I was left with this:
The bike had construction grade wiring for neon lights, mismatched grade 8.8 bolts for motor security, years old brakes, old fluids, blown fork seals blah blah blah. Ordered a PCIII, Yoshi pipes, stretch, chain, brakes, new fairings, fresh fluids, new tires, frame all painted black, the whole 9 yards. After waiting on my fairings to get painted for a couple months I ended up with this;
Waiting on my nitrous kit, then its off to the dyno. Thanks guys!
