04 busa stock- running rough at low speeds

04 stock busa with 9k on it.
runs rough in any gear below 3500 rpms
surging, ,bucking,weak-- above 3500 its fine
doent throw any codes.
where do i begin looking for issues???

whats the most likly cause for this ??

When is the last time you put a set of plugs in???

have not changed them there the orginals
usual with plugs they dont fire  at all   or missfire at high speed under a load
not 1k to 3.5k range

On more than one occassion I've had to replace the plugs and that was the bug in my lower rpm performance...It want hurt to pull one and look at it, it could save you time and money...Just put a set in mine a couple of weeks ago and I'm riding like a champ... :tu:

I just had the same problem with my 04 and it has the original plugs with 4500 miles ,I have been looking for awhile how to fix this without going to the shop ,but now that I see what the resolve is I will do the same ,keep you posted as soon as I change my plugs.

Well I just replaced the plugs and I still have a bucking ,not as bad as before but is there and I don't like it. any other ideas?

I have found over the years on a Busa stock or turbo, that once a plug starts to foul its screwed, they don't seem to want to clean up, best to change them. 9K on the original plugs.........those plugs have every right to misfire :lol:

Is there a"how to" somewhere on checking the fuel filter? I couldn't find much in the workshop manual I have. (Digital)  advice appreciated!  :-D

also can you give a bit more info as to exactly when it does this? cold/hot, exactly what RPM and throttle opening, how old is the gas, there's no filter except for the in tank screen maybe there's crap in the tank? a near 10 year old machine cant be sqeeky clean
