I'll be there for speedweek. Probably not riding but I'll be helping where I can.

I'll also be at the 2 club banquet.

I wont be riding this year!! Had back surgery a couple of weeks ago. I may come to Speedweek for a couple of days and the 2 Club Banquet. JC will be riding the 1350 bike at World of Speed, I will be there to supervise  and mostly get in the way.

It is up to JC when he rides. WOS seems to work better for him, plus he is already paid up, after last years cancellation. As far as I know his back is pretty much good to go. My surgery was quite a bit more complicated. I am doing well just going to be a lot longer before I can ride. I usually get him on the phone on Sat. morning. Cant wait to see your lakester.

Fred,  thanks for the update.
It's possible that we do both SW & WOS, if so we'll leave the rig at Tom Burkland's and fly back in between the events.  All depends what happens at SW.
You going down to TM?  I'll prob pop down for fri or sat.

I'm still trying, it depends on my work  schedule on what event I can make.

Still have to finish up my mods and make sure the bike fits me instead of me trying to fit the bike  :tu:

My 750 is in the shop now getting an Ultra fitted then when I get home.

I'll bring in the 1000 to have a new rear seat made and relocating my Battery.

Maybe this year?

Well, as many of us know, not much happened in
terms of high speed with bikes.

John and Allen Levie took seven (7) SCTA records
during World of Speed, including Allen getting
into the Bonneville 200 MPH Club
in the Scott Guthrie Racing sidecar -
the same bike that got his son John
into the Club in 2013.

We had some "teething" problems with the "big bike,"
as one would predict for a bike making
it's first appearance on the salt.

We were pleased with what we did, John Levie driving,
and we hope to solve the traction problems for next year.

Still, one has to be pleased with 320 RWHP
normally aspired, and on track gasoline.......

Wow! With 320hp (sea level) and a decently slick body, you guys should go 260 easy once you get the kinks worked out!

We had some problems with the big bike, Brenda Sue riding, After the second day had to retire it for the meet. Johnny qualified for the record twice. Could not back it up. We will get er done at Speedweek next year, hopefully.

I would think so !

With two (2) engines and from 2,300 cc to 3,200 cc available,
including alcohol, nitrous and turbo, we anticipate at least
1000 RWHP in a trim that allows pretty good reliability, and
1,300 RWHP "for emergencies."

Right now, we have excellent drivetrain reliability,
and expect to soon have the traction issues dealt with.

Aero in the wind tunnel is coming soon.

Pictures of the sidecar bike and the "twin" are in this video.

You know it Scott with the way you worded it! I don't pay really much attention to all whats out there except to what has my motor in it. Well how about a hand to Mike Brakel 224mph with stock bodywork!  Got to be the fastest with stock bodywork. I wonder what kinda of speed that sorta motor can go with a 100 shot?      I sure could use a nice controller for Xmas!!! :id:

I agree with ya.  Mike's 224 run with stock body work is something special.  And it was done without a hurricane force tailwind.

is that true?  I thought I heard there was some wind!! But hey your dealt with whatever conditions you get. If you don't show!! shame on that person. Some people would say we'll the air was real good that day!!    And??  Did you run Ransome? At the last meet? I know you went 238 before.
