New to the Busa family.
« on: March 05, 2014, 10:11:50 AM »
Hey guys, what's up. I just registered here after picking up my first Hayabusa ever two weeks ago.
I'm hoping to find some inspiration, tips and perhaps some words of mechanical advice when needed.

But let me introduce you to her before I ramble on.. Here she is : Miss Charleze

Pictures were taken outside the shop. I haven't had time yet to do a proper photo shoot with her.

She's an '02 model (from '03) with just over 21,000km (13,000mi) and completely stock besides the pegs, footbrake and gear shifter, rear light and indicators and the aftermarket plate holder. I'm hoping for some good flange on pipes soon for a nice deep sound and some cosmetic changes to start off with.

This is my second bike since I started riding over two years ago. It's quite a step up from my first bike a GSX750f (Katana).

Thanks guys. Have done a nice ride today to get more acquainted. Mods are definately on their way. I'm considering a color change at the moment, although this combination looks really good, so I'm not completely sure about that one yet.
Weather here is perfect for the time of year (15°C/59°F and sunny) and the more I learn about the bike the more I love her. Have planned a riding weekend in the German mountains in two months and am really looking forward to that now (planned to do it with the Kat but that's not going to happen now ).

Red, I would love to ride the stampede one day. I read about it a few times and it sounds legend, but as I live in Europe, I guess it won't be for this year (also will be difficult to fly over there and cargo the bike along). Enjoy the rides and be safe. But show us the pictures afterwards alright?  :tu:

That was my first model/ color busa, best color combo out there! Paint the frame black and leave it alone, get rid of that exhaust too lol. Mostly have fun with it...

Welcome to the forum!

Those are great colors. If you are into touring, these bikes can be set up nicely with bar risers, windscreen, bags, etc.  If you're just into going fast, they do that too.

Enjoy...

I have seen some nice ideas here so far. I like the black frame and swing arm too.  :tu:
I'm doing the first mod tomorrow btw. I noticed today that the stock horn is a bit of a joke and I happen to have a freeway blaster lying around...
