Nice dry but cool day (50*F) with a steady 16mph tailwind gusting a little higher for our first UK event this year but not many riders out to take advantage for various reasons. All runs were standing start mile.

Fastest time of the day and a new personal best to Becci (angelpaws) Ellis 239.2 mph on her second run of the day, first run was 235.6 mph but sadly a popped seal on the oil filter stopped any further fun.

The ever consistent Jack Frost was chasing some electrical gremilins during the day but finished with a 235.6 mph to top a few 220+ mph runs.

Third fastest on the day was Les Marsh (gixxer les) with a new personal best of 226.3 mph along with several 220 mph runs and possibly would have run faster but he ran out of gearing.

Next was Tony Foster at 216mph and the only other rider over the 200 mark was Barry Beadle at 202 mph.

Myself and a few others should be out next month at Elvington but the Southern meeting booked for Woodbridge is looking doubtful due to a lack of entries sadly.

Thanks for the updates guys. I appreciate it.

I updated the top speed list to reflect Les and Becci's new top speeds.  :tu:

Congrats to everyone that hit 200 or achieved a personal best!

Ken,
As you know, I passed the torch for updating this list, but I sure anticipate your submissions.
You set the pace for complete, informative and interesting updates.
The only thing missing is a description of YOUR 240.00mph pass! :thumb:

Not worth starting another thread for but we did have a meeting at Woodbridge on Sunday 6th April, only a few bikes out but Tony Foster was fastest about 212 mph I think in the mile but the track was very green after a damp and mild Winter so traction was very poor.
Our date on the 15th of April at Elvington has been postponed until 22nd April but entries are again looking in single figures at the moment so we hope a few more will come out of the woodwork before then  :bike:

It was a bit wet  and they reversed the course to avoid the wind a little.
Jack frost managed a 243mph or so but sadly an accident to one of the riders has left him in hospital and shook everybody up as you would expect.
I don't want to post any more on this at the moment until the situation is a bit more clear on the riders health.
I will be back when I can say more  :thumb:

I've read Tony's name many times, so sad to read it in this way.

May the good Lord comfort his family during this difficult time.

Just thought I would let you all know that we held a final last run at Elvington for Tony on Wednesday 21 May before his funeral on the 23rd May.  He was taken to the top of the runway in the specially designed hayabusa motorcycle Hurst sidecar and aloud to complete his run down the track at approximately 105mph.  He was then taken back to the top of the runway and we all followed him on our bikes, cars and even a big American tractor unit down runway 26 at a more sedated 40 mph.

I'd like to thank all the people who turned up on behalf of his partner Christine and step daughter Rachel, they were extremely touched by the turn out.
It was a very emotional and day with tears and laughter as we his friends and family said our goodbyes to one of the nicest guy's we all had the pleasure of knowing.

Tony was a member of my team at BDR and we will never forget him.  He will be with me always.  I will miss the big man.
