Hey guys.
We got home last night. Good to see everyone at the track again. Always nice to catch up with everyone.
Not a lot for us to report. Jennifer made one pass early Saturday morning. John posted the slip. 216 into a 22-23mph direct head wind(according to my handy dandy wind gauge). We wouldn't have ran at all except she had a lot of family in from out of town that wanted to watch her run. It's not that the head wind is unsafe. Just not great for going really fast.
The wind shifted about lunch time and was coming across the track. Racing was held and never restarted Saturday.
Sunday was more of the same head/cross wind all day. We didn't make any passes sunday. Just too windy.
At the end of racing Saturday Jennifer was the fastest vehicle of the meet at that point. I'm not sure about Sunday(we didn't stay til the end). I know one or two cars were running very close to her speed. They may have passed her. Not real sure.
A few very fast cars there. Lots of cool stuff. Not sure who won the hot rod magazine shootout(again, we didn't stay).
Still a fun weekend. Too bad the weather didn't cooperate. Oh well, that's racing.
I would also like to give a big congrats to James Hight!!! 202.2 on his NAKED turbo GSXR 600 in the head wind. I think he is the first naked 600 ever over 200mph. AWESOME JOB!!!!
