I saw that bird last summer, beautiful. Flew over my garden the next day while I was out there. Stood speechless, looking up and listening to those big motors low rumble. You can't help but think how that sounded approaching on target.

Still privately owned and operated by Hayabusa owner enthusiasts. 2002, small  a/a kit, CF body

Or a hundred of them, or 300 B-17s... That was a generation of great mechanical development, and a generation of heroes.

It gets emotional when you think about that. Or the fact that you may never get another chance to view a flying B29. This is it, don't miss it.

I plan to ride... have already flown in a B-17, Fifi is on my bucket list.  Thought we were going to ride a couple of years ago, then she had motor problems and cancelled their tour for nearly 2 years.  Will be at one of the spots this year I hope.

Best of luck for a successful boarding. The people who keep her flying are as rare as Fifi. Please.take.some.pics!
