Turn out for the event was moderate/light. Saturday waits were about 1-1.5 hours. By Sunday mid-morning, you could almost hot lap. Sadly, no 1/2 mile speeds.
Saturday was by far the best day but the wind was tricky.. Cross from the East at 7 mph or so, BUT every now and then a big gust would come along a move you big time on the fast end. Eddy took out the timing lights with his turbo side car on Saturday morning because of the wind. I came awfully close too, but managed to control it (I also found out later that I scratched my lower fairing DEEP on the left side underneath apparently leaning the bike into the wind at 230 mph to stay away from the timing lights). Later on Saturday, a car took out about dozen cones right past the timing lights due to being blown off the course.
Sunday we had a sustained 15+ mph headwind that was gusting to 24 mph. Called the event at noon-ish due to pending rain, but I do believe everyone got as many runs in as they wanted that day.
I was primarily there for a little test and tune. Did a motor pass and then limited nitrous passes and was reviewing data logs the whole weekend. But, I do believe all of my nitrous passes were 230 or better with a best of 234 late on Saturday.
While the speed wasn't the quickest, I think my best run was on Sunday into that horrible headwind. I upped the spray a little bit and went a 232. Keith was checking the wind speed at the time and it was 16 mph and gusting.
