Question about camping at Bonneville
« on: July 01, 2014, 09:35:02 PM »
I'm gonna come up and cheer on some of my friends who will be running the bike event in August and help out where I can.  I was thinking of draggin my tent trailer up.  Should I camp at the bend in the road or the KOA in town.

I know the bend is closer and will probably be more fun, although I'm not interested in partying till the wee hours, but my camper is very basic, meaning no toilet or shower.

What are the fees at the bend?  What are the night time temps up there?

Advice, anyone?

Tom

Never camped,
nights are chilly but not cold in general, most times even at daybreak waiting to get onto the salt  you may need a long sleeve shirt or windcheater but nothing more, thats most times, but occasionally it gets cold
wunderground has a pretty good forcast for the area if you check before leaving

if you need showers and toilets i am pretty sure the gas station just up the road from the bend lets campers use there facilitys, many breakfast there too

BLM have rules about the camping but i cant help more that say to ask someone

See you out there  :D

JMHO, The KOA would be closer to Carmon's Black and White, and that's important.
