it depends on your chassis and your riding style.  a properly set up 1441 will run that easily. I heard that some of the newer liter bikes will do that also

My 03 is needing a upgrade bad.
So, a good 1441 will get it done ?

I'll do the reserch and hopefully get it right.
There's info all over this place.
Thanks Battman

how much do you weigh?  Do you have a 2003 busa?  Spend most of your efforts on your chassis and seat time

I think that asking a lot for a N/A 1441, but if you know how to ride a drag bike, and IF have a proper clutch jn jt, and IF the motor is a real good 1441, good head work, cams, exhaust, and a tune up buy a pro, I guess its possable
The older you get do you notice you start chickening out way before the bike does

A 1441 will get you to your goal. I have seen many 1441 setups do it.

8.50 na will need more than a 1441.... 1397's normally go 9.20 to 8.90. There is only about 10 to 25 hp difference in a 144, depending on alot of varibles. It will take more power and lighter chassis to go .4 to .5 faster at that weight. he not 100lbs... A 1507 in a good chassis with good rider is 8.50 doable with good tune and race fuel.

I'm in louisisana
Knecum will be receiving a call, with a bunch of questions .
My stock busa ran a best 8.99 149 --  I think 140/60' , stock
Clutch, yosh cams ,and degree
9.0's all day ,., so I was thinking a1441 might just do it
I suppose it would matter on whether or not he is in Florida or Colorado also.

My little 1441 at 68" was doing mid 8.4s @ 157-9 on hand clutch and a best of  8.32 @ 161 on a rock clutch.
Rider/bike combo weight is 690lb.
Definitely doable on a well built 1441
