bypassing the ignition switch
« on: July 29, 2014, 09:49:21 AM »
I have searched all over and can't find anything on gen 2 hayabusa. I have tried to call Rodney willford but no luck with that either.  I want to use the on/off switch to turn bike on off. Any help is greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

Tough answer to get and you don't want it posted. Why don't you want to use the key as the switch?
Closed course. Professional rider. Do not attempt.

Still privately owned and operated by Hayabusa owner enthusiasts. 2002, small  a/a kit, CF body

If it's in a truck or trailer, it's being stolen

I need to know this as well. I'm building a Gen2 Busa powered buggy and want to use a car style ignition switch. We had a TL1000R engine in before and I had to use a 5K resistor to trick the ecu into thinking the stock switch was there. I lost that info but need to do it again on this gen2 motor.

If someone would like to pm me or text or call 8105770810 I will tell them where I work and after they realize what I do I am not trying to steal anything.  But I do understand.  Thanks

For some applications, you can disable it with an ECU flash. Otherwise, a 100ohm resistor can be placed in the wires connected to the ignition switch.

If anyone has a gen 2 hayabusa and would take a pic for me of the ignition switch plug on the main harness so I can see where the wires go I would greatly appreciate it.  Thank you I pulled the wires out when I started to re wire and now don't remember what holes they all go back in.
