vance and Hines header with stock cans on a 2012 busa?
« on: August 30, 2014, 12:12:25 PM »
Id prefer it be as quiet as possible, and im too cheap to pay $2,000 for the akra dual system that I really want, but for a few horse I was thinking about running the vance and hines stainless header with stock mufflers and a PCV... has anyone tried it? I cant imagine the stock cans are that restrictive..
Please, only those who have tried the combo or personally seen results... not interested in what you think, heard from a guy who knows a guy, or opinion on how my bike isnt cool unless it makes peoples ears bleed.

Thanks!

You are right about the headers. I have a 08 which i have done a lot of changes on the exhaust. First i would take the stock headers and cut the cats out. Then ceramic coat them. I think the stock mufflers would be fine. I took the stock headers and took out the cats and ceramic coated them, Then put on car mufflers. I have reworked the stock mufflers, From stock gutted to gutted short ones. I like the car mufflers about 100 bucks a piece. Then tune it up.
