Busa starter clutch
« on: October 01, 2014, 02:34:36 PM »
Hi all
New to the site so please excuse if this has already been posted.
I'm after some help/advise please.
I'm having problems with the starter clutch which  I have to replace, but on removal from the engine I have noticed a massive amount of play in the pin that holds the clutch in place in the casings.
I'm pretty sure it's not the pin but the casings itself.
From what I can see the clutch has partially siezed causing the pin/shaft to rotate in the casings.
Has anyone encountered this before. It's an 03 revised starter clutch model.
I guess I can replace the outer cover but I'm worried about the play in the inner engine casing
Any ideas?
We're is the best place to buy another clutch from as I can only find one and it's a pattern part, or shouldn't I be worried about fitting pattern part.
Cheers
