BUSA SHORT NECK ???
« on: October 09, 2014, 09:43:54 AM »
Has anyone had a Gen1 Busa that was short neck with 1/2" offset trees with forks internally lowered but NOT milled or turned down?

You'd have to have some different trees. The forks are tapered in the area that needs to be clamped by the lower clamp when lowering the bike.
Any day on a motorcycle like this that ends just needing parts and labor is a good day.

Yeah your right. Their mcintosh they were originally for turned down forks I had him open them up for stock forks. Now I'm going to need new set of trees in order to get the full advantages of being short neck smh...

You could wrap the fork with shim stock, then tighten the pinch bolts. Common to do when using GSXR forks.
