Seems that exhaust questions are the norm all of sudden.
« on: December 08, 2014, 11:52:33 AM »
What's the exhaust options for a 1600+cc Gen 1 that will allow the exhaust to fit underneath the plastics?   I know that several companies have stopped making Gen 1 exhaust all together ...  and the focus has been to fit sidewinders or big engine bikes.

Our Short Meg 2 or Alien Head 2 both work great with built motors.

That`s what i was, and still am, struggling with my 1600+, what is the right exhaust to get the best out of it. Basic idea was that big motor needs big pipe, allowing to breath more. I used HMF big bird, which was excellent powerwise, but at that time i used the bike more on street and it was too loud, and i don`t like the noise that much. Later i bought used Ti-Force sumo which is also bigger than standard, at certain section. It was also great, very light and superb finish quality. This season i ran Murray big tube sidewinder and i got the power range higher with little more power, but along with other modifications, so, difficult to say how much benefit from the exhaust.
After trying these out i have to say i could have pulled nearly the same power with several other brands, not necessarily big tube or exhaust for big motor.
Brocks exhausts are certainly good design and gives top power, what i`ve seen live. I just like the longer, traditional design.

Perhaps you would like something more like our Gen 3.  http://www.brocksperformance.com/GEN3-Full-System-+I393212+C247.aspx
It is also quieter than the Alien Head 2 and Short Meg 2 would be.  This pipe comes with the option of titanium, stainless, or carbon fiber muffler options.  i hope this helps, if you have any other questions let us know.

While I do know that the Brock's pipes make the power, I just wonder what the Supercharged are using? I know some of them are north of 350 wHP.

The Ti Force for a Gen II is basically the Sumo for the Gen I. You should be able to put it on a Gen I with some minor mods.
Have a Harley, spent lots of money on it, thought I had a fast motorcycle, bought a Busa, realized all I had was a fast Harley, not a fast motorcycle!

you have to cut the centrestand eyelet and the right hand bellypan wing eyelet off the gen1 frame to fit a gen2 ti force pipe, otherwise they are great.
