Steve Knecum set the Maxton track record with my street bike at 235 mph. Only change was race gas. License plate was WOOSH. That was 12 years ago. Tom Gates set the Texas record at 261 mph   a few years back with his street ridden bike.  Keep tuning wahly   :bike:
All motor all the time and a turbo now and then.

I`ve done 257 without changing fuel. The bike needs turn signals and softer seat to ride on the street, no heating issues or other. It`s a streetbike, i have lights on all the time and place to bolt on lisence plate.
What is streetbike and what is not, go and figure out yourself.

Good luck proving that record...anything still owned/running TODAY over 230+ is pretty darn impressive IMO no matter what! :thumb:

It seems that if you want to see the fastest street ridden Hayabusas all you need to do is look at the "Busa only" page on FB! Only mods needed are 16/55 gearing a your nearest trailer park! Yes, this is SARCASM! It really makes me angry that so many tarnish the accomplishments of the few that have really made a difference in the sport! The countless hours and loads of money it takes to do what you all do seem to be brushed aside by these clowns and the idiots that believe their stories!!!! By the way, this post is NOT directed to any of the above posts, I just want to be clear about this. Just venting, as my longtime build nears completion!

In the UK Lloyd Davis ran 222.8 mph in the mile on his Big CC motored 1600 Busa in 2012 and that was ridden on the street and toured Europe on it.

I guess I need to be more specific, not just street legal but daily ridden,
ride during the week and put 200-500+ miles on the weekends.........

I guess the first example would be Rich Yancy's #8 BUD BUSA.

First bike over 250 mph in the mile (2003)
First bike over 255 mph in the mile (2004)
First bike over 260 mph in the mile (2004)

Many magazine articles emphasizing that the
bike was built to be ridden every day - to work
and on the weekends.

Example #2 would be my bike The Anvil.

264 mph under Shane Stubbs; also at Maxton.

Built to be completely street legal, and to be ridden
on the street from time to time.

Tom's bike ran 261 at Texas, and he has a well-published
picture of him on the bike with a cop looking him over.....

I am sure there are many others

Driven 200-300 miles per weekend.......?

That's 10,000 - 15,000 miles per year on an
engine package that costs at least $20,000.

After 3 years or ownership that's 30,000 - 45,000
miles on a $50,000 bike.

Hard to find.........

Why not ? You have lots of roads to roam in US. My friend wanted me to build a 200mph motor for his busa, he was getting beaten by couple guys with 1000RR BMWs during trips through europe, friends though. I made a n/a setup for him, 208mph on a mile and off he went to Hungary, few thousand km in a week and BMW guys eating dust.

Mine is definitely not one of the fastest by any stretch of the imagination but, it will run 230+ in a mile in street trim, it's been ridden 10k miles since I built it and it gets ridden hard in twisties(drags the dump and air filter in curves), long straights, road trips and generally just thrashed the hell out.. A true street bike, not just street legal. A "do it all" bike. It's been 198-200mph(GPS)on the street, on pump gas, more times then I can even count.

It's first and only trip to the Mile and it went 225.9 mph with mirrors still on it, completely stock body work and only on 16 psi boost.  Full street trim.

Street bike on a 500+ mile solo road trip:

261mph from a dead stop at 230lbs. and then unloaded and drove 20 miles. Turbos and daily drivers are a dime a dozen...

Alan has the truest real turbo street bike out there. 225+ in the mile, 8 second 1/4 mile and drive across the state  :tu:

which part?
what have you done lately?
I'm talking about stuff that guys got bored with 6 years ago and moved on to other things. There were others before us that went fast and got bored too. Going fast on a turbo bike and riding on the street doesnt prove anything. Anyone can do it! The difference is how fast have you gone and then riden on the street and what year did it happen. The guys that I'm talking about would be bored at 250 MPH...

I don't want this to be a pissin match what I was getting at was fastest In the standing mile most bikes that are going over 230 now a days are fully faired, cut tanks, no tanks, extended tails they are all pretty much race bikes, they race and get put away that's it. What have I done lately ? 232.0 at mojave in April and put 4500 miles on it this summer. And to say slap a turbo on it and go over 230 is easy? Hardly.
