Airbox Mod on Gen II
«
on:

I have been advised that on the new Busas it is best to replace all 4 of the intake stacks with 4 for a 07-08 Gixxer 1000. They are shorter and I was informed that just changing them out can increase peak HP by about 2 at peak numbers. Anyone have any experience?

I've heard that all short stacks will give you a little on the upper end but take away a little on the low end(I'm guessing the reasoning of the factory for supplying 2 long and 2 short would be a middle ground scenario),so if you're racing and keep the RPM's up you're probably good to go

Maybe four 08 Gixxer 1K "short stacks with 1/2 " spacers under em".
Hells Bells.............if I go much over 10K, it means someone I don't care for is chasing my wrinkly white ass. (Like those two dudes below).
Actually, that is cellulite.

As far as I know there isn't an airbox mode for the gen2 like there was for the gen1.

Smells of a turbo to me..............naw, I am done riding 3,4 and 500 hp bikes on the street. 187 N/A is fine. Headwork/Cams maybe 205-207
Along with the 60 lb weight loss on the bike. Now if I could only lose half that..........just half.
