Congrats to the new Ohio Mile track record holder at 243.77, our own board moderator Ryan Ostergard. A 200 club member at Bonneville, Texas, Maxton, Loring, Mojave, and Ohio, Ryan typically rides normally aspirated Hayabusas, up to speeds of 218.2 unfaired (the fastest naked N/A bike anywhere, any time) and 229.9 with modified-class bodywork.

He built his RCC Ultra turbo to satisfy a desire to go 250. This was his first weekend on the bike, and he made 3 smooth passes; 222 and 236 on Saturday, and 243 Sunday morning, still in 5th gear.

In going 243, Ryan and his partner Jen Robertson became the fastest couple in motorcycle land speed racing. Jen's personal best is just a tick behind Ryan at 243.6, on Johnny Cheese's turbo Busa at the Texas Mile in 2012.

Ryan will shoot for more later this year, and I have no doubt he will achieve his goals.

with his new track record at Wilmington Ohio,
in the May 2015 1.0 mile meeting.

This is also remarkable since his wife,
the beautiful JENNIFER ROBERTSON,
will be sitting next to him on "The List."

With a "sum of speeds," of 487 mph, I believe
that makes them "nobility" as
the 1st couple of speed
in the motorcycle world.

Show him and them your appreciation !

What can I say? Thank you Dean for the great write up. Jennifer and I both really appreciate it. You're a great friend.

It would be impossible to thank every single person that has help us both over the years and I don't want to leave anyone out so I just want to say one big thank you to EVERYONE. This wouldn't be possible without lots of support from family, friends, sponsors, etc...

This bike is a monster. I'm looking forward to getting more seat time on it and getting that 250mph speed.

My best estimate at this point:

5 MAY 2015

is that you and Jennifer are
in about 45th and 46th spot
of the all-time fastest open-wheel
riders in world history since the
beginning of time !

Let's not forget that our friends and board-members
Jody and Trillium were the previous
"fast Couple' with about 483 mph.

This is not an easy record to set or break,
and the two of you should be so very proud,
and receive the congratulation
you both so richly deserve.

500 is SO possible.........
