« on: May 09, 2015, 07:19:55 PM »
the problem is intermittion.... it is a 40th anniversary model with 12,000 miles...I bought it new...always garaged ....this happened all of a sudden....nothing has been changed or modified...still stock....when I first start it it runs fine for the first few minutes....I looked for wire damage everything is good.. pulled the plugs they look great...they are original....I'm thinking its a sensor....but which one should I check first

I am having a similar situation with mine, the first thing that I would look at is the fuel system, I got some bad gas it ate through my hoses and killed the filter

Switch the bad coil with one from a good cly, if the mis follows the coil, at least you will know, and I trust you have tried plugs already?

Actually, it is possible that if you were running pump gas with 10% ethanol, ethanol eats rubber over time.  I don't run ethanol fuels in any internal combustion engine I own except the wifey's Buick.  I will only go so far.  Those of you who have had a chain saw quit on ya after sitting all winter with ethanol fuel in it, you will need to replace the fuel lines and rebuild the carb.  That happened to me.

Easy enough to pull coil clips to see which cylinder or even injector clips. Done a compression check?

Plug reading should tell a story.

I would put my money on a coil stick, as it warms up it breaks down...

Yeah, makes sense.  Change all the plugs at the same time, of course.
