Ti Force Suomo if you can find one,or the Akrapovic would be my choice. The Akra has a much better midrange than the Brocks and only sacrifices 1-2rwhp up top. Plus, its'a an Akrapovic...much better quality than Brocks/Hindle IMO.

As far as getting a "free" tune in you PCV when you buy from a company,it's a canned-tune. Any custom dyno tune specific to YOUR bike is better than a generic tune that is sent to hundreds if not thousands of customers who buy that PCV/pipe package.

Carpenter loads a generic tune into their engine packages when you bring your bike there. It runs great;he did work to my bike and loaded a map into my PCV made by a dude Brian in '08....I brought my bike to him in '11. Im not bashing him, cause the bike friggin FLY's and has had zero issues.

Been lazy but when I finally brought the bike in for a custom tune specific for my bike, the AFR on the Bob tune was very rich downstairs and very lean up top. Made some changes to the tune and walked away with another 6rwhp. Im not a fan of canned tunes, they get you close but they aint 100%. Just my worthless $.02 ;)

Canned tunes are like canned tuna............not the same as one you caught this afternoon and ate for dinner.

1) If I were you, I would do some on-line research to find the "bestest well respected dyno tuner" that is closest to you.

2) I would call him and "feel him out" on what your want.  He may have a recommendation or two.

3) I would do some on-line research into various pipes you would like.  Where do you want power?  Will you sacrifice a little in the middle for more up top?   That kind of stuff.

I have installed a dark smoke Puig Racing Windscreen and had the ECU flashed by Boosted Cycle Performance.
Honestly, she's pretty darn sweet without doing anything else.

Pretty much any good pipe will give you 10+ hp,just depends on whether you want a big can on the side or a small one and how much you want to spend. For a $1,000 and on a stock motor it's hard to beat a Brocks Short Meg or Alien Head(go to any track or land speed racing event and other than a sidewinder[which isn't much good for the street]you'll see mostly Brocks). :thumb:

But then I'll need a power commander too right? I'm now thinking it's not worth it for a few more horsepower.

Plus the Busa will never be as quick & nimble as one of these bad boys...

I know it sounds hard to believe, but the Busa feels like a big slow barge compared to the Super Duke.

It is not just the 10-12 extra RWHP.......the bike loses 40 lbs also.

Spend the few bucks on a front sprocket, and you'll be amazed at the difference!

Most bang for the $  :D

Dump the Busa and get the Duke.  A Busa will NEVER be a Duke.  Two different fruits like apples and oranges.

Holy Gearteeth, Batman!!!!!  One tooth out of an 18 toother is a 5.5% change to LOWER gearing in all gears...............that is like ADDING  2.4 rear sprocket

teeth.  Seems like that is a lot for the first change................then again, I learned a long time ago on bikes, that if you are going to make

a change, don't take baby steps................MAKE A CHANGE!!!
He's right, 1 tooth down in the front will make a change you can feel, probably as much as the other bolt on mods combined
The older you get do you notice you start chickening out way before the bike does

You are 100% right brother !!  :thumb: I guess after years of hearing about Hayabusas I was expecting too much.
To me, The Super Duke 1290 R is much more mind blowing than my Busa.

If anyone out there is in Kansas, I have a gorgeous Orange & Black 2008 Hayabusa for sale.
It has brand new tires, a brand new battery, and an ecu flash from boosted cycle performance.
only 4,900 miles.
Do a 1441 w head/cam and you will forget all about that KTM....trust me

You still might as well spend 20-30 bucks on a front sprocket to see the possibilities and potential of your Busa. I highly doubt the Duke will out sprint it up to 130 with that change alone..then imagine a 10 hp gain and 40 lb. weight loss!!!

The Ti-Force pipe for a Gen II is the same header and mid-pipe as the Ti-Force Sumo for a Gen I. Stainless though and not titanium.
Have a Harley, spent lots of money on it, thought I had a fast motorcycle, bought a Busa, realized all I had was a fast Harley, not a fast motorcycle!

Turbo 015, SEJ and CJ...................You guys are just like my first wife - Ya Don't Fuggin' Listen!!!!!!!

The man already said I wuz right and his Busa is for sale  after which -SUPERDUKE 1290.................End of Story, guys.

Truth be told, if wifey would throw me another 20K, (and believe me she has got that...........and about 175K more/inheritance),

I would have both my Busa AND a nice new Superduke 1290.   That would be a blast!!!!

Don't give up on me Double G, my heart is telling me I should keep my Busa. She is a mighty sweet bike.
The Super Duke is very cool, but it's more of a play bike for shorter rides.
I would like to do some things to maximize the performance of my Busa and still maintain the refined feel.

Just trying to pass along something that I have learned thinking others that read the thread may use it to guide their decision making. :beechug:

Thanks for the responses guys, but I have decided not to sink any more money into the Busa because I will probably be selling it.
I rode my sons 2014 KTM 1290 Super Duke R and I am gonna have to have one, it's an amazing bad ass bike.
