RE-DESIGNED 2016 BUSA
« on: June 18, 2015, 09:36:37 AM »
Dear all,
I am new in here,
I was the owner of a 2013 Hayabusa, which was sold last year.

I am very excited to learn that the BUSA will have serious modifications in 2016 as I read many other sources of information.

I would like to know if anyone has any inside information on this matter.

Any inputs would be great to know.

Thank you
LCL

Well, we all know how this stuff begins...............Gen 1 was from 99-2007............that is 9 years.   The Gen II is is from 2008-2015 - to date that is 8 years.

Might or might not be a grain of truth out there somewhere.   I dunno.

Rumor from back in January;

http://suzukimotorcycles2016.com/2016-suzuki-hayabusa/

It does say the styling for 2016 will be the same, basically, but the bike will have more "muscle",

Cases could be thickened a tad, if necessary and bored for a larger cylinder..............last time stroke was upped.  Maybe this time it will be bore.  Larger cylinders to add at least 200 cc's just a tad more aggressive cam that will pass emissions............and you could have about 195-200 out of the crate.  Just musing.....

On second thought, the current cases would have to go.   The newer cases would be about 5/8-3/4 of an inch wider to allow for the additional geography needed to support such a large cylinder.  That means a LOT of stuff would have to change.............but, who knows.  If Suzuki is willing to put all that money into R&D, there would likely be a spurt of business, but would it help the "stay afloat" financially, in the long term.  I had heard they were financially thin because of their lackluster cars.

Great movie,I watch it every time it comes around. :tu:

"The man with No Name"  (Did you know that Clint only got paid 60 grand for that first "spaghetti" Western in 1967?) I bought my first .44 magnum in 1972 after Dirty Harry came out.  It was a Ruger Super Blackhawk single action with an 8 3/8" barrel in blue steel.  Paid 125 for it new.

Later, I sold it and got the S&W .44 mag just like in the movie.  Cost me 400 then.  Had a left handed tie down holster just like in a Western.  Goofy way  to carry but a fun gun to shoot.  Could chop a 5" tree down with it after about 8-12 rounds.  The Smith was much more pleasant to shoot than the Ruger.  Better grips and better control.

Yes,  I am a lefty.

Personally, I do not like the new .500.  Too much gun to be practical unless you are built like Hulk Hogan was 25 years ago.

I had one of the Blackhawk 44 mag. worse than the Super Blackhawk. Model 29 S&W was pretty nice, 87/8 barrel of course.

I ended up buying a pair(about 6 mos. apart)of the S&W mod. 29's with 8 3/8" barrels back around '79 and was into hand loading so shot the piss out of both of them most every weekend for a year or so,think I pd. over $400 for the 1st one and $525 for the 2nd.Brother had a Ruger Super Blackhawk and was a wrist buster, believe it rolled up higher because the axis of the bore over the grips was quite a bit higher than on the mod. 29.I shot so many heavy hand loads through the 1st one I sprung the crane, had to have it just right to open the cylinder.Almost felt guilty when I sold it to a local PD.

You were just like Josey Wales................twin sixers and takin' no prisoners.  My new personal protection preference is "The Judge" loaded with .00 buck.
Nine .36 caliber pellets in each round on the 3" cylinder version..  That is slingin' a lot of lead if ya get caught in a "tight".  Just lookin' down the barrel of that pistol makes you want yer mama.

Isn't the .00 a five shot round in .410?

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=7wMK501xiOE

I watched an old interview of Eastwood and he said the weirdest thing about filming in those spaghetti westerns is that they filmed with NO sound.  Everything was dubbed after filming.  On set, trying to deliver your lines, there was no 'quiet on the set' so the actors could hear what everyone was saying or doing behind the camera.

It is, and has been around for 5 years.  It fires either a .410 slug, 00 buck, or any type of .410 you want to put in it...........it also will fire a .45 long Colt.
And yes, it is a 5 shot double action..........cylinder turns counterclockwise as opposed to clockwise as you fire it.  Very flexible self defense or home defense weapon.

The standard version fires only 5 pellets per round, the long cylinder version fires 9 pellets per round. Rifled barrel for the .45 long Colt rounds automatically makes it a pistol and not a shotgun.  Legal, unlike a sawed off smooth bore shotgun.  Taurus did a good job with this weapon, IMO.

It is a better gun based upon that review.................S&W obviously took a Judge and made it better.   S&W makes some of the finest handguns in the world, IMO.  When I bought my Judge, there was not another weapon available like it.  Now there obviously is..........and S&W appears to be a "better mousetrap".
