bike shuts off after hitting decent size bump

twice today my 99 shut off after hitting a decent size bump in the road, it wont restart unless i turn the key off then back on again but it fires right up and runs good??
i checked all the batt connections, the main fuse, the side stand switch has been bypassed years ago, i started it up and started to wiggle shit but couldnt reproduce it
any one have any ideas????

Tip over would be best guess as you said the ign has to be reset to start, which you don't have to do with the kickstand, clutch, or handlebar on/off

Tip over switch was epoxied years ago, plus i tried shocking it with a hammer and screw driver while it was running and wiggling the plug but couldnt make it shut off
can the tip over switch be bypassed with some sort of resistor??

update: i was wrong i dont have to turn the key switch off then back on, i just pull in the clutch and hit the button and it fires right back up again
i notice that when it dies the fuel pump continues to run, the gages and head light still work
i bypassed the tip over with a 62k resistor anyways
any one have any ideas ???????

Ignition switch issues, possibly.  It is, after all, 16 years old, unless you changed it out already.

still has original switch  and most of the electrics are original     16yrs 150k

Suggest you look at changing out that switch.  Dunno how much they cost.

Next time you roll over that BIG bump ~ pull in the clutch & see if it stays running ?

UPDATE   it was the three wire plug going to the iap / map sensor had bad connection
