John, that is an unanswerable question...
It depends on the condition of the salt...
It depends on the direction of the wind....
It depends on the riders right wrist...
It depends on the weight of the rider....
It depends on the riders body position....
and so on and so on...
With that said during the Bub (now the BMST) I have noted that most guys on street Busa's, without weights hit the 170s-190s. I watched a turbo guy run mid 190s, repeatedly... I could hear the wheel spin.... every run... HP without traction is the usual problem.
Back in 03 when we set the 1000 production record we were using my son's street bike with my race motor stuffed in it. Speed stalled at about 177 no ballast, added an invisible 40 pounds and the calculated slip dropped to 8% from 15% and the bike picked up 5 MPH... enough for the record. That was the last time we ran the street bike... of course the kid wanted me to leave the motor in it instead of changing it back out...
Next year used a dedicated race bike, with filled swingarm and weight under the front fairing.
