Need to Break In or Heat Cycle BT003RS?
« on: August 27, 2015, 08:27:56 AM »
Reading thru some old  posts about heat cycling tires in general - and the BT002s specifically.  Is this a good idea with the BT003RS?  One suggestion was 100 easy street miles before running it at the mile

Thanks - Chris

Added - I also assume I do NOT want to run the race tire on the dyno?

Fred, bet me to it.

The BT003 compound isn't soft enough to gall up on the dyno, it's the drag race and exclussively the road race tires.  The tires I won't put on the dyno are the Shinko Hookup and sometimes the Shinko Stealth (if it is hot outside).  Any sticky tire; stealth, power one, etc... Will show less power on the dyno.

Excellent!  Thanks for the info - it'll make the last couple days before the CO Mile a little easier :D
