It was a great event, nice to be back at a race track after 2 years.
Scott & Henry (Color me Gone) kicked ass with a thrown-together motor, amazing job, congrats!
Very good to meet Ed Petrozzi, beautiful, clean bike. He overcame a cracked header with a beer can to go 243+
I didn't get a good pic, sorry.
Also nice to meet Hussain, who ran 239+ spinning down the track. Another beautiful bike.
Don & Steve's piece of art was jaw-dropping, and I even got to sit on it! No response when I offerred to ride it though.... They are working through the kinks in record time, and when it's dialed in, that bike should go very fast. Best of luck.
I struggled with the naked Busa, making one 180mph bouncy pass with the rigid tail, and it will be my last without a shock. Huge thanks to the Daly family, who loaned me a ZX10 shock off Cliff's bike Saturday afternoon. The best kind of people.
With the shock (and radiator, as the water tank fit in the shock's place) I went 212 / 217, and it felt good, but an oil pressure gauge line came loose late in the pass, and I sprayed oil all over the bike. I didn't even know it, which is good, in that I didn't wreck, but bad, because the engine is hurt. I haven't torn it down yet, but the remaining oil is half glitter.
On the way home I stopped in at Larry Forstall's and had a great meal and bench racing session.
Here's a few pics, I look forward to my next trip to Loring in 2016.
