ZX-14 Rod/Crank Bearing Issues
« on: September 28, 2015, 07:49:35 AM »
Anybody hear of a "larger than acceptable" number of ZX14 bearing failures over the last couple of years?  I only ask because a buddy of mine had one and it broke, the factory rebuilt it but it never ran the same............shook too much.............so they went back in and re-positioned the balancer.  Still did not run right and he sold it.

Has a new R1 now.

A friend of mine bought a 2013 ZX-14,spun a bearing at around 5,000 miles on a stock motor that had never been apart.Believe it also messed up the crank so now the motor is sitting in a Rubbermaid container.

12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first.  Shitty "warranty", IMO.  Lotsa new bike manufacturers are givin' 3 years and 36K........like my car. Victory, Indian, even Harley I believe.  12/12 ain't much.  Like kissin' yer sister.   :td:
