Fuck that! You need to go -2/+13 in the rear and race again. Start in 3rd gear from a dig,and since you are at a weight disadvantage, remove your brakes...that should be good for 20lbs :tu:

I swear boys, it looked dead even to me.  You were goin' a tad faster than my aging eyes could follow.  Looked like you were both hooked together by some invisible magnet or sumpthin'.

Here is how I saw it.

As I see it, the Gen I owner should have been tucked better the whole way and may have been even when they went by..........

It was pretty close,I never realized how much it took to catch up after giving up 80 lbs. and the hit. :lol:We started at about 50 mph in 2nd gear and took me until after the middle of 4th(at the camera)to start pulling ahead.Damned lightweight guys anyway, time for my fat ass to go back on a diet. :hys:His Gen I does run good though,I'll definitely give him that. :tu:

I don't know how I didn't run over Tan Jeff's camera(I actually forgot it was even there ),with a dark tinted visor and a black screen on that road at 150 mph I couldn't see shit anyway.

Jeremy's a really good dude and a blast to hang out with, makes me feel 30 years younger.

OK now I can see it too.  Would have liked to be the third bike in that one.  But, alas, my ass, is waaaaaaaaay across "The Fruited Plain".

It got a little sketchy with both of us in the same lane/on that semi-rough country road/at around 140 mph at the camera...with oncoming traffic in the other lane. :lol:Probably pushed it a little more than we should have.

If i would have shifted before hitting the rev limiter on both gears i would have done better. Also need to tuck my body. DAMN! I NEED A SHIFT LIGHT ASAP

Rev limiters are pesky things, I hate bustin' out. So far, only once in 2nd, I forgot how quick these things spin up in the lower gears.  Shift lite is good idea.
Might get one if budget allows it this winter.

I am right with ya. Its about a 150 for one that clips to a coil and is ready to go.

Gen II's have one built in but I've never used mine(have accidentally hit my limiter a half dozen times also),on the street I'm too busy lookin' at what I'm tryin' to avoid runnin' into in front of me. :lol:Mine's set at 11,500(which is actually about 12,000 on the tach since I think they all read about 500 more than you're actually turning)but you're right Davey, comes up really fast in the first couple of gears. :lol:Here's a real easy setup guide if you're using the factory one and only takes a minute to set, definitely not as easy to see as an aftermarket light mounted up above the dash but better than nothing:
