I get the countershaft sprockets from Superior Sprockets in Oregon, rear sprockets from Vortex, and I cant remember who I get the chains from. If somebody is serious about doing a 520 conversion let me know and I will get part numbers and everything you need to do this. For those of you who dont know Brenda Sue made the fastest NA runs, on pavement, on my bike this year. Larry Forstall's Guppy made the fastest NA run ever, at Bonneville, wiwth a 520 chain.

I am totally down as long as the tensile strength can handle hp.

They've come a long way with chain technology, some of the 520's now can handle about anything you can throw at them.I'm not ready for a new chain yet(have 8,000 miles on an EK ZVX2 and has only needed a bit of adjustment one time)but when you get time Fred I'd be interested in the chain manufacturer, part #'s,etc. :thumb:

I have a 3D 520 on my '13 1000...im a hair under 200rwhp and the chain has shown minimal amounts of stretch. But Im also meticulous with chain maintenance. Ive got 8500 hard miles with the stock OEM chain on my Gen2 and thats pushing 235rwhp/130ft/lbs. :tu:

Do you notice a difference from a 530 chain?

Turbocharge the bike and run the strongest chain you can - without compromise for weight.  The HP will pull the chain.  :tu:

I call bullshit.  Ain't no 520 gonna pull 12000 tensile strength on a Busa...under full throttle without stretch.
