-I got a McIntosh Alumi-Pro under-braced arm for the Gen1 which,at my rwhp level,I needed. Also going to relocate the fuel pump under the tail section somewhere by the rear shock with -AN fittings. Like to mount a catch can as well. Also all -AN lines for the AMS-1000.

-On the K5 1K turbo Im going to flash the ECU and set the injector balance to 50/50 to see if I can get another 20-30rwhp as it sits.

-My Gen2 will get a nice cleaning/detailing and possibly a swap to CO2 instead of compressed air for the air shifter.

-On my L3 1K,gonna flash the ECU. I also bought a map switch,so I'd like to get a dedicated race-fuel map

Other then that,not much :tu:

Tony, the driver for the shop where I bought my bike, weighs 106 lbs geared up and races.  He volunteered to take mine out to Rockingham.

The K5/6 was the best literbike Suzuki has ever made. The K9-L6 are basically the same bike with minor improvements over the years. BMW bought quite a few K/56 1K's,used them as a benchmark and modeled the S1000RR to improve on that design. The L7 GSXR 1K will be the 1st major redesign since 2006 and it's about damn time.

Yep,the 200/55 taller rear tire kills almost 2 teeth worth of gear(according to Gearing Commander)so will be about the same as 18/45 with a 190/50 rear tire which is only actually 2 teeth more than stock and will help get my fat ass movin' a little sooner.

Jeff,

On my 2010 stocker (Muzzy Full Pipe) I did essentially the same thing.  I added 2 teeth to the rear with the stock dimension 190 and that 18/45 combo worked wonders in 3rd.  3rd felt like a "2nd and a half" gear and the bike pulled like gang-busters.   4th was better as well, but not like the change it made in third.  You will love it.  I did.

You will think you had just added 10RWHP to the bike and now you will be able to "Ride Boody Ride" and be just like "The Lone Ranger" = "Hi-Yo Silver, and Away!!!"

Yeah, stock gearing is way too lazy with that taller/wider/heavier tire,18/47 should wake it up and only add about 3-400 rpms at highway cruising speeds.

Yeah, you will wear that motor out in 120K instead of 130K.   By then you will need a walker older-biker-guy.
