Busa engine mounts
« on: February 20, 2016, 01:21:25 PM »
I'm a noob in the sport bike engine category so please forgive if I ask some seemingly dumb questions. I'm considering transplanting a Busa engine into a sibe-by-side.

Do all Busa engines have the same mounting provisions. For instance, could I take a 99 Busa engine and install it easily into a current Busa or visa versa? I'm aware internals, tuning etc. are probably not interchangeable. I'm just talking about the bolt up.

Any info about interchangeability for these engines would be greatly appreciated.

the motors are pretty much swaps. the issue is you have to shim gen 2 motor over in gen1 chassis cause of tranny shaft.. 99-16, bolt up wise same... going in side by side just line up sprockets on direct drive.. if running through differential then set the two up to mate inline...
