Attending the June Ohio race?
« on: May 24, 2016, 10:23:58 PM »
So what are the main items to safety wire? Drain plug, filler cap, hose clamp oil filter, steel clamp hold down for the batteries.  If I missed anything  like pinch bolts, axle nuts etc please let me know.  The clock is ticking.  Does the rad cap need it? Also I can run engine ice which is biodegradable?  I will be in P/P 1350/4, and APS/2000/4-G with Brenda's bike...thanks for any help, I've been out of it for over 5 yrs. Thanks

The wiring requirements have been relaxed some, but items like pinch bolts that are wired have to be painted(marked) to show signs of turning.  I normally safety wire because the chance of racing at other events.  Yes, on the steel battery clamp.  Tire dates are big (newer than 10 years).  Helmet certification dates of 2005 or 2010 are a must.

How are you running P/P and APS on the same bike?  :D
Fastest 1.5-Mile Pass - 252.222
Fastest 1-Mile Pass - 244.2997
Half Mile - 211.47
Fastest Nitrous Bike

211.079 LTA. P/P 1350

Great to have you back out Steve!

We wire our radiator caps but nobody has ever checked them. I have my front pinch bolts wired together then thru the lip on the axle.
On the rear we run hitch pins and safety wire them to the axle adjuster bolt.

We've always ran water with Water Wetter and never had a problem.
