Congratulations on your purchase bro. :thumb:I've always used OEM filters and Alisyn 10w30 with Petron Plus from Brocks but most any good full synthetic motorcycle specific oil should be fine(Motul,Amsoil, etc.,ask 10 different people and you'll get 10 different recommendations as far as oil preference goes but I think most will say to use OEM filters).

All I ever add to these threads is my experience.  Amsoil M/C specific synthetic 10/40 with K&N filters.  Over ten years and 60,000 miles and never having to add oil between changes which occur every 5,000 miles or so says it all.
Ride em if ya got em

Be careful when you use some after market filters ~ they might not work as good as the factory filters .  .  .

Aftermarket oil filters have been banned at certain race organizations due to K&N oil filters blowing out an o-ring.
The same thing happened to K&Ns back in the '80s when I was road racing and they were banned at the old AFM for a while.
