S2000 Injectors - HELP PLS
« on: June 08, 2016, 05:52:00 AM »
First of all, thanks for great forum!
I want to dobble check if I am right on this topic.

What I have learn here is that the S2000 SP1 Injectors will fit directly on Gen1 stock Busa engine - right?
Will the Connectors fit, or any modifications needed?
I am using Walbro 255 fuel pump, strong fuel regulator and bigger fuel lines.
I also have Powercommander 5 and Autotune.

Am I good to go, or is there any further info I need to know about?

Any help greatly appreciated !

PS: I have small light car (Triumph Spitfire) with Hayabusa engine. I used to drive Hayabusa gen1 for some years and just love that engine ;)
What power gain is expected?

The injectors I'll drop right in with no mechanical modification needed.

As far as making more power, changing injectors wont make any power increase, they will only be capable of adding more fuel. Unless you also modify the engine mechanically to add more air (ported head, cams, increase the displacement, turbo, nitrous, etc) the extra fuel will just make the engine run rich.

If you do have other modification that make you need additional fuel, they work well. Keep in mind that any changes require new tuning to optimize.
Any day on a motorcycle like this that ends just needing parts and labor is a good day.

So by just replacing the injectors on a stock engine, will NOT increase the power?
Can that be right? More fuel to burn, changing the fuel map by PC5 and Autotune, will that change not add the power??

You can change to the 2000s but with no other changes the bike will run so rich it will probably be unrideable, you can probably tune the 2000s to work through the Power Commander, but even after tune you will really be no further ahead than with stock injectors, the 2000s have half again more flow than stock injectors, and if the eng is not modified to use that extra fuel it will only slow you down or poss hurt something, and even with simple mods, exhaust/air filter they are still not needed, only if you go turbo or nitrous would that much extra fuel be needed, and if you went the modified stock motor, cams/porting valves/springs, in a lot of cases even then stock injectors can be tuned to work fine
The older you get do you notice you start chickening out way before the bike does

Ok thank you all for your comments.

Some of you meantioned Nitrous, I have been thinking about 50 hp dry shot, but I must admit I am afraid using it. What could I do to he on the save side with 50 shot? Pls note I do not have access to a Dyno.
I would connect the Nitrous to the Intake runners or? I have Pipercross PX500 Airfilter. Should I use spray or ?

And I would only use the Nitrous on the 1/4 mile track, as I need a little more hp after 300 meters in my class ;)

I appreciaty your advices !

I am using O2 and Autotune from Dynojet, is that not enough?

Autotune and ALL O2 sensors read the exhaust gases

If it is lean by the time it reads it and corrects it could be costly

I much prefer,  map it way rich. turn on the Nitrous and make a run recording the info
make changes a LITTLE at a time pulling fuel

You can spray through the filter.  Jet it for a 50 HP shot. In the PCV, Add 40 to the 80/100 column. Make sure the bottle pressure is 900 psi. And as stated above, if you depend on the auto tune you will melt down.  AFR needs to be in the mid-upper 11.x on a stock piston motor.
