oil & fi lights

99 gen1  i just noticed today  that when i turn my key on to the run position the oil & fi lights come on for a couple seconds then go out, shouldnt the oil & fi lights stay on until the engine is running???   im pretty sure they did at one point , i know when the engines not running there is no oil pressure so at least the oil light should stay on

ok how bout this  can one of u guys with a gen one put ur key in ur bike and turn it to the run position but dont start it and tell me what the oil & fi lights do, do they stay on, or do they turn on for 2 seconds and then turn off??

Dont have a gen 1 to try but i'm sure the oil light is direct connected to the pressure switch , try grounding that wire or check the connection under the tank
power up must be just globe (led)check

i thought of doing that last night but didnt have the time, did it this morning sure enough it lite when grounded  guess i got a bad switch shockingly its only $28.00 at the stealer  i was expecting at least a $50.00 bill for it    Thanks dude
