The bike with stock gearing and worn rear tyre had a 10% error in speedo reading and i was running a long downhill. It felt nice though. True max speed on flat ground would`ve been 180-185mph, on a good day.great point Speedduck, it would be interesting to know what diameter size the rear tyre was, from this we could soon figger "true" speed, not indicated

Yep Cooks is pretty much unlimited runs, but its the quality not the quantity you pay for The pit is at the 0 mile there is constant monitering of conditionsyou can run whenever you think conditions are right for you , no waiting in line and taking the conditions when you get to the front The Cooks and everyone else involved in the running of the event are there for you and the few others at the event there is total lockdown during a run, no vehicle is allowed to move apart from its crew and the emergency vehicles , everyone else must be in pits, designated safety or viewing areas After crewing for Richard Assen in 2011 and seeing how it worked i figured if you wanted everything possible in your favor to go fast it was at this event
It sure would be nice to put one of your sons on an H2R Dan, then we would get a real speed. I actually just mentioned this on another board lol. good jockey, unbiased opinion, real numbers. media stunts are about as believable as the easter bunny
Scott,I don't know if you were at the Maxton event back in '06 when we brought a brand new ZX14 with 21 true miles on the odometer. We installed a ZX12R front sprocket (18t) to fool the limiter and Chad's best pass was a 196.11.......still had the break in oil, really! The bike was 100% bone stock except for the countershaft sprocket.
