custom exhaust help requested
« on: July 22, 2016, 11:45:07 PM »
First post on this site, hello all.
I have a mini rail butting an 07 busa motor in, stock exhaust is not going to fit, I may be building a sidwinder 4 to 1 style but it has to sit no lower than the sump to crankcase seem.
I was hoping someone with a nice sidewinder exhaust could do some measurements, I plan to come out of the head with 1 1/2 inch tubes so how long are these normally and then to 1 5/8 tubing how long to the collector?
if you do the measurments, please name the brand of pipe, brooks, muzzy ect.

the engine is stock at this time, if you have some dyno sheets that might give me an idea of the torque/hp curve that would be helpful too, I know that the longer the pipe does better for low to mid range and the shorter will help with top end power.
Thanks

PS, I'll be posting another question about turbos

Contact Dennis Murray, give him the envelope he needs to fit.  That's what we did for our Bonneville car when we put a Busa in it.
Google will get you there
Bonneville 200 MPH Club
245 MPH Turbo Busa Powered Lakester
208.959 MPH NA GSXR 1000

Actually, this was not the answer that I was looking for, I was hoping to get some measurements so I could go about doing my own build.
