Naw not really, the Indian is where it's at for cruisers now. They will focus solely on that line and it's going to do well!
 Already is!
I'm not a cruiser guy, but if I were that's what I'd buy or for sure a Motus!  :thumb:

Sad to hear of any brand going away.  If I wanted a bike that does what a Victory does I'd certainly choose one over a HD or an Indian.  And I love the big Indian's motor.  It's a beautiful sculpture despite having less than 80hp.  My biggest problem is that the HD and Indian weigh 900 pounds before you even sit on one, much less pack them for touring and add a passenger, not to mention they're at or near 30K price tags. :td:
Ride em if ya got em

Check out Manus.
Before I pay that much for a bike with that little power and technology, along with a sit back riding position, I'd buy a Manus.
SPendy, but I think it would be a blast.
Sits like an FJ Yami or Kawi Concours. Definitely a decent riding position and the motor is out in the open where its serviceable

IT IS SAD NEWS...continues to show how the power-sports industry is right now.. internet big companies going under as well ... motorcycle superstore online and all the store fronts closed at the end of the year also.

alot of jobs will also be lost.. dealerships will close that only sell victory and slingshot.

Victory had a good reputation here and I never heard a bad word about them.
They've been around a while and I did get to test ride a fat tire model. At least it accelerated and stopped on the brakes.
It didn't leak oil either.
The job losses are sad, more firms than ever are laying people off.
I have no more sh*ts to give.

When the purchase of Indian Motorcycles was made in 2011,
many questioned the immediate future of Victory –
with the two brands being seemingly close in alignment –
and with the Indian Scout taking over the launch duties
from what was due to be Victory’s new Octane motorcycle at the time,
the positioning of Victory within the Polaris structure seemed even more doubtful over recent months.

“This decision will improve the profitability of Polaris and our global motorcycle business,
and will materially improve our competitive stance in the industry” – Scott Wine

So Polaris are doing the same as Harley did with Buell?

Yes and no HOS.
The Victory is primarily a cruiser bike, not a sport bike. When Harley did away with Buell, they ruined their chances of ever getting into that market.

Polaris dumping Victory isn't a big deal at all. They already have that market with the Indian and the engines are still there.

What I see now is Indian line making all sorts of new bikes. Sport, Touring, Standard, Dirt, Enduro, you name it they can't do it now and keep it all under the Indian name rather then having two divisions.

I think it's really a positive thing and I'm totally excited to see what's coming out in the future.

Fair enough mate. I don't know that much about the cruiser bikes.
As far as sales are concerned relatively few Indians have sold here compared to Victory bikes.

Give it time. I've rode a few and all I can say is Harley had better have a plan...

The Scout is the comparo to the Sportster. Same torque, and more horsepower by far. 3000 more Rpms!
It's nearly as much fun as the old Vmax to ride!

Engines are so much more refined and broad power band compared to Harleys low end torque and short band, these are like a whole nother level.

Give them time and the Imports will be scrambling I'm afraid.

Will they ever have a bike to compare to a Hayabusa, hard to say
