New Michelin RS Tires
« on: January 17, 2017, 06:39:39 PM »
I see Michelin has redesigned their tire(Power One,then Power Supersport, then Power Supersport Evo,and now to the Michelin Power RS model).I see they offer the front in a 120/60(along with the standard 120/70)and know it's popular in drag racing, just wondering if there's any reason why the 120/60 shouldn't be run on the street?

The 60 aspect ratio will be quicker turning and may feel a bit "twitchier" when turning.

Probably best to stuck with a 70 series at your age...

I have a few tires to look at. Right now, we have alot of data for the P1 tire on the primary bikes. My bike is more of an experimental bike that I try new things on.

The quickest et for mine (6.908) was actually done on a Shinko Hookup Pro.

Lots of folks just say..."go test a new tire", or "the only reason you are quick is because of the tire", or "the only reason you guys are quick because..."

The reason our team is quick is because we bust our assessment and do alot of experimentation on multiple platforms. It gets to.me sometimes when someone says all not takes is.money, etc. The only way it only takes is money is if someone pays someone else who already knows how to do it. Many times that doesn't even result in the person paying getting the performance they might expect.

Just like everything else....it isn't all that hard, once you know how to do it, it's the learning part that is tough.

I'm not jumping on the "this new tire must be great" bandwagon like many are. While not ideal, I am confident I can make the bike go 6.8's with a shinko.

Man, that's alot of quotes
