(at least I hope/think it's the battery, has bogged a bit the last few times I started it and today had just enough to sweep the needles but that was it)

Probably (hopefully) that's all it is.  I recently got a Scorpion lithium for my Busa from BatteryStuff.com.  Good folks there.  If you look under 1982 Honda CBX standard battery you'll see a pic of my old touring mount.

Bud, your bikes a 2011, so depending on the batterys build date that could make it near 7 years old, that's not bad for any battery let alone a bikes, mines a 2005 and I think its on its 4th battery, and it stays on the Battery tender if sitting for more than a couple days, last one from pep boys seems to be staying good
The older you get do you notice you start chickening out way before the bike does

I've had Deltran tenders for years and until I bought their lithium tender that quickly went bad I had never experienced their customer service which turned out to be CRAP.  They said, after having it for three weeks, that it works ok for them and sent it back.  Within a day it stopped working again so I bought a different brand.  Poor customer service is ridiculous for any business that wants to keep its customers.  Fugem!

WalMart does have really good batteries, much cheaper than OEM...
