Gen 1 Multi Stage

Any one know what other clutch springs I can try on my 1441 2000 Busa with less static pressure than the MTC soft springs for a Gen 1 multi stage? Have a Penske race shock. Trying to get it to slip at WOT from the hit off line. Also it wants to start climbing up at about 60ft. off line.  Running no shim at this time. :sad: :sad: :sad: :sad: : :icon_frown: :icon_frown: :icon_frown:

sounds like you may need to reduce the static a lil more like remove 2 springs(across from each other) if need be and the wheelie issue maybe due to having too much weight on the first set of arms if you have any on there

Done tried that taking 2 springs out a week ago and burned clutch set. Only have a washer and bolt on all arms, no shim.

May try stiffer counter Springs on the arms.

As for the font end lifting 60ft out, that is a chassis / power issue.

That's an idea. Have 13's and 15's in hat now. May try 15/18's.  Could I do 13/18's instead???????? gone soften up compression some and deal with rebound.

I talked to Dimey(DME) last year and he told me that they ran a 1.90 stack height in there 60in bike but I surley don't know how they did that since it calls for a 2.0

Install.the stiffest counter Springs you have. Get rid of the really deep gearing that you probably have in the bike. Deep gearing will load the clutch less. You said you want it to slip.

Heavier counter Springs will make the clutch hold less torque at lower Rpm and taller gearing will require more torque of the clutch.

Stack height is 2 "" per MTC specs.

Running 16/39 gearing and 3 #13 / 3 #15 springs in hat.

I'd ditch the 16T front sprocket and go min 17T with rear sprocket selected accordingly. The 16 creates higher chain and sprocket tooth load and is very susceptible to tooth breakage and subsequent chain damage.
