rectifier regulator question

im going to be rebuilding my charging system on my 99  new stator, rectifier and all new wiring ( soldering all connections ) my question is  can the output from the rectifier be wired directly to the battery???  pos to pos     and grnd to grnd
alcohol is the cause and solution to all my problem,s

it burn,s when i pee

I dunnit on my SRAD mosfet R/R, basically same same, in fact the Mosfet kit you can buy dood for a fee will send the extra length needed to do just that, wire it directly to your battery as apposed through your harness where he figgers is sort of an Achilles on the srad..
